We take great pride in all of the work we do for our clients. From working directly with our partners to plan and build out new features tailored to their specific needs to creating an online tourism presence from the ground up where one didn't previously exist, here's a deep dive into a few recent projects we're particularly proud of.
Charlevoix is a beautiful vacation town nestled along Lake Michigan towards the northern end of the state. They wanted a look and feel to convey the sense of calm beauty that their wonderful corner of the world offers its visitors. They also wanted tools that would make maintaining the site a breeze.
We redesigned and built their website in 2022, integrating a front-end CMS that empowered their small team to make updates and changes in real-time while browsing their site.
In the summer of 2025, they wanted a refresh — keeping the same overall look and feel of the site but bringing in new elements and calls to action to drive user engagement throughout the site.
Because of where Charlevoix is located geographically, their recreation and tourism offerings vary drastically depending on the season. To highlight this and make it easy for site visitors to find exactly what they’re looking for, we added in a rotating section to their homepage of seasonal promos to promote the season’s unique offerings.
Charlevoix wanted to create more calls to action to drive user engagement, so together we decided to create a ‘Choose Your Adventure’ section prominently displayed throughout the site on the homepage and at the top of all major landing pages. These visual buttons link to itinerary-based landing pages targeted to their three main audiences: families, craft beer/wine drinkers, and general recreationists.
As part of the site refresh, Charlevoix wanted to create a dedicated Groups and Meetings ‘microsite’ to promote their growing number of meetings and conferences. They wanted a simple landing site with its own unique domain that would still be a part of the main tourism website behind the scenes and could be managed in the same CMS. Visitors to the site can submit RFPs, search for lodging and meeting spaces, and find itineraries on the Meet in Charlevoix website, all while the Charlevoix team only has to manage one website.
