From working directly with our partners to plan and build out new features tailored to their specific needs to creating an online tourism presence from the ground up where one didn't previously exist, here's a deep dive into a few recent projects we're particularly proud of.
The Bay Mills Indian Community partnered with Earthdiver Partner Services to create its first-ever dedicated tourism website: Destination Bay Mills. Completed in just 15 weeks, the project established a modern digital presence where one had not existed before. The platform positions Bay Mills as an adventure base camp in Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula, celebrating the shoreline, trails, scenic overlooks, and drives, while also showcasing supplemental attractions such as local businesses, farmers’ markets, agritourism, museums, and events.
Prior to this project, Bay Mills had no tourism website or online presence. This limited the community’s ability to share its story, attract visitors, and promote local businesses. The challenge was to deliver a fully functional, culturally grounded destination website on a compressed timeline that would reflect community values while driving tourism and economic growth.

To our knowledge, no Indigenous tourism website has yet been recognized with a MarCom Award — making Destination Bay Mills a pioneering and impactful project to be the first to be awarded two Gold Awards in 2025.
By combining cultural authenticity with cutting-edge digital solutions, this initiative represents not only a milestone for Bay Mills but also a model for Indigenous tourism development nationwide. Destination Bay Mills showcases how technology can enhance cultural identity, expand economic opportunities, and foster visitor engagement.
